Amazing Red won the vacant TNA X Division Championship at Bound for Glory, capping a night that also included his induction into the promotion’s Hall of Fame.

The title match was originally announced as a six-man contest featuring BDE, KC Navarro, Ryan Nemeth, Fabian Aichner, Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander. It became a seven-man scramble after Red said during his induction speech that he would join the match. The championship had been vacated after Leon Slater used the “Option C” provision to challenge for the TNA World Championship, according to the source report.

Red secured the win by pinning Navarro. The victory gave him his fourth X Division Championship reign. His previous reign ended in September 2010, when he lost the title to Jay Lethal a few days after winning it at a live event.

The source report says Red’s four reigns rank eighth in the title’s history. It lists Chris Sabin as the record-holder with 10, followed by Austin Aries, Jay Lethal and A.J. Styles with six each, and Samoa Joe, Low Ki and Frankie Kazarian with five each.
