SaverLife announced Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, that it has launched a version of its financial wellness app for skilled-trades apprentices in partnership with BlackRock. The app is available to more than 75,000 workers through the electrical training ALLIANCE, the national training partnership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Electrical Contractors Association, according to the announcement.
The customized app is intended to help apprentices manage debt, build credit and save. Union apprentices enrolled in BlackRock Future Builders programs may qualify for cash incentives as they advance in training and work toward financial goals. The initiative is funded by The BlackRock Foundation through its Future Builders workforce-development program.
SaverLife CEO Leigh Phillips said the partnership brings financial guidance and practical tools into the apprenticeship experience. BlackRock’s global head of corporate affairs, John Kelly, said the program is intended to help workers pursue financial security from the beginning of their careers.
SaverLife says its free app serves more than 800,000 Americans and uses behavioral science, real-time data and artificial intelligence to offer financial support. The announcement also cited BlackRock research indicating that a majority of skilled-trades workers believe they should save more for retirement. The source material did not provide details about the research methodology or the size of the survey sample.
