Actor RJ Mitte, best known for playing Walter White Jr. on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” has died at age 34, according to a statement from his representative to Fox News Digital on Oct. 12, 2026. The representative did not disclose a cause of death.

The statement described Mitte as an actor, philanthropist and disability rights advocate. Mitte had cerebral palsy, as did the character he portrayed on the series. His representative said he used his public profile to support disability awareness and inclusion.

The statement also said Mitte served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, and as president of The Mitte Foundation, which supports philanthropic and community initiatives.

Mitte appeared on “The Joe Vulpis Podcast” the week before the report, where he discussed the effect “Breaking Bad” had on his life and his continued relationships with cast members, Fox News reported.
