Carmelo Hayes returned to WWE television Monday night after nearly two months away from in-ring action, revealing himself as the masked assailant who attacked Solo Sikoa during a match involving the 946 faction and The Bloodline, according to Fox News’ OutKick report.
The six-man tag match featured Royce Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima of the 946 against Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Sikoa. During the bout, Keys was preparing to put Sikoa through a table when Sikoa fought him off and brought him back into the ring. As Sikoa prepared to continue the attack, a masked man entered and struck him with a crowbar.
The man removed his face covering and was identified as Hayes. He then joined the 946 in attacking The Bloodline.
Hayes had not wrestled since an Aug. 14 episode of “Friday Night SmackDown,” where he lost a United States Championship match to Baron Corbin. His absence, along with a change to his profile image on X, had prompted speculation among fans about his WWE future, the report said.
The 946 also includes Jaida Parker. The faction has been involved in a feud with The Bloodline, which includes Sikoa and the Uso brothers. The report described the groups’ confrontation as an ongoing rivalry, but did not provide an official announcement about a future WarGames match.
Roman Reigns, another member of The Bloodline, was not present at the Monday broadcast, according to the report. He is scheduled to appear on “Monday Night Raw” next week.
