Chick-fil-A plans to introduce Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce nationwide on Nov. 16, 2026, marking the chain’s first addition of a permanent sauce in 10 years, the company told Fox News Digital. It will be offered in standard dipping cups and 8-ounce bottles.

The company describes the new sauce as a variation on its signature condiment, combining the original’s mustard notes and smoky flavor with spicy peppers and a touch of sweetness. Chick-fil-A said its menu team sought to retain the familiar sauce profile while making the new version distinct.

Allison Duncan, the company’s director of menu and packaging, said in a statement that customers enjoy bold, spicy flavors. She described the launch as a hotter take on a classic and said the sauce would add a kick to the flavor customers already know.

The announcement drew mixed reactions in online discussion. Some Reddit users expressed interest, including one who joked that the new product could eliminate the need to mix the regular sauce with Buffalo sauce. Others questioned whether the advertised heat would be noticeable. One commenter said that food marketed as spicy often falls short of expectations; another voiced similar skepticism about fast-food chains’ spicy offerings.

Chick-fil-A said its research during the past year found that customers repeatedly named a spicy version of the signature sauce as the sauce they most wanted the company to add. The supplied report does not provide details about the research methods or the number of customers surveyed.

The company also tested spicy chicken strips at two locations in Georgia earlier in 2026, according to the report. It did not provide further information about the test or say whether those strips would be offered more widely.

The previous sauce addition was Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, introduced in 2016. Chick-fil-A’s Honey Mustard, Barbeque and Polynesian sauces were among the first to reach its restaurants in 1984. The original Chick-fil-A Sauce followed with a nationwide debut in 2006.
