Delta Air Lines announced a series of upgrades to its Delta One premium cabin, including new menu choices, expanded meal pre-selection, additional beverage offerings and redesigned amenity kits. The airline said the changes will start appearing this fall on transoceanic flights departing Los Angeles International Airport, with expansion across its global network expected in early 2027.
The updated menu is set to include a wagyu beef burger, roasted sea bass, braised lamb and beef short rib. Delta also plans to refresh its desserts, including a dairy-free sorbet that passengers may pair with Champagne Taittinger.
Travelers will be able to select an entrée up to 18 hours before departure. Delta described that as six hours closer to departure than the previous cutoff. For passengers seeking more rest on long-haul flights, the airline says they can opt out of the morning meal service and ask for coffee and a croissant before landing.
The beverage program is also changing. Delta said Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon will join the selection on Dec. 1. Its revised wine program includes 13 wines from 11 wineries, among them Silver Oak bottles that Delta says may retail for more than $200. Dassai 45 sake is scheduled for flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda starting Nov. 3. The airline plans to add both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the Hugo Spritz and Paloma in 2027.
Delta’s amenity updates include Missoni kits beginning Nov. 3. The kits are to contain Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit and Missoni-branded items. The airline also plans to offer a Missoni Mini pillow on transoceanic Delta One routes. Bombas socks are returning on some domestic and international Delta One flights.
The company additionally plans to increase its Porsche airport-transfer fleet from 40 to 70 vehicles across 15 airports and hubs by 2028. Delta did not identify the locations in the supplied announcement.
Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s chief marketing and product officer, said the investments are intended to improve the premium travel experience and give customers more control. Kristen Manion Taylor, senior vice president of brand experience, said the changes are meant to offer passengers more choice and flexibility.
Delta said more than 200 flight attendants and other employees participated in developing and testing the revised experience over a period exceeding 14 months. The announcement lays out a phased schedule: some offerings begin in November, bourbon follows in December, and other elements—including the expanded network rollout and new cocktail options—are planned for 2027. The Porsche fleet expansion is targeted for completion by 2028.
