A Fox News report published Oct. 13, 2026, said the Gaza peace framework associated with President Donald Trump has attracted backing from international partners, while key security and governance challenges remain. The report marks one year since the ceasefire and plan were established, according to its account.
Josh Gruenbaum, a senior adviser to the Board of Peace, credited Trump’s leadership and U.S. engagement with helping build relationships among regional governments. Gruenbaum described the 20-point plan as a route to ending the conflict and said support had grown among international partners. Those assessments were his views, as relayed by Fox News.
The report cited a November 2025 U.N. endorsement of the Board of Peace and said the European Union had announced about $1 billion for early recovery in Gaza. It also reported that Kazakhstan, Morocco, Albania and Kosovo had committed to an International Stabilization Force intended to support security and demilitarization efforts. The report did not provide independent confirmation of those commitments.
A Board of Peace official told Fox that reconstruction pledges totaled about $18 billion. The official described a proposed six-month program involving 66 projects, including rubble and unexploded-ordnance removal and temporary housing, with an estimated cost of $2.45 billion. The report said tenders had been submitted for some projects.
The plan’s next phase faces significant obstacles. The report identified Hamas’s demilitarization and the proposed deradicalization and governance arrangements as unresolved challenges. Gruenbaum said the Board was seeking compliance with the ceasefire and described a role for a Gaza administrative committee in civil governance, including oversight of teacher and public-sector vetting.
The reporting includes disputed and consequential claims, including allegations concerning UNRWA employees, and relies substantially on comments from a Board of Peace adviser and an unnamed official. The claims and reported commitments warrant independent verification.
