Josh Brolin said work on the script for the third “Sicario” film is continuing, describing its status as being “in the notes process” in an interview with ScreenRant, according to Fox News.
Brolin is expected to reprise his role as CIA operative Matt Graver. The report also says Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt are returning. Blunt appeared in the 2015 original but not its sequel.
Steven Knight, rather than franchise creator Taylor Sheridan, is writing the screenplay, Fox News reported. Brolin praised his co-stars and said he was glad to work with them again. The film has no announced release date, and the report did not provide further production details.
