Kevin Bacon said a package of clothing he shipped to Ireland in September had been routed through multiple countries and remained undelivered, prompting him to ask followers for help locating it. The actor said the items held sentimental value because he had owned them since the 1990s.
In a video message, Bacon explained that he was working in Ireland and had sent the box from upstate New York on Sept. 26. He said it initially went to Memphis, then France and Germany. By Sept. 29, according to Bacon’s account, it had been sent to Israel rather than Ireland.
Bacon described further movement between Israel, France and Germany over the following week. He said the package returned to France on Oct. 10 and reached England the next day. It then made it to Ireland on Oct. 11, but Bacon said it had been sitting there for five days while the carrier’s tracking information indicated that delivery could not be completed.
The actor said he had been unable to reach a person who could explain the status or resolve the problem. He acknowledged that he could purchase replacement clothing, but said he wanted the original items. The box contained old boots, jeans and hats, he said, and he was unsure whether he would recover them. Bacon added that colder weather was beginning in Ireland.
FedEx representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. The company separately apologized for the incident, according to the report, and said it was in direct contact with Bacon’s team to arrange delivery while reviewing what went wrong.
The account centers on Bacon’s description of one shipment and the carrier’s stated response. The supplied material does not provide a final delivery outcome or further details about why the package was routed through those locations.
