NASA announced Oct. 14 that it will hold a briefing at 2 p.m. EDT on Friday, Oct. 23, at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, to discuss the Artemis program and plans for future Moon missions.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya and Artemis program manager Jeremy Parsons are scheduled to take part. The agency says the briefing will cover Artemis III, which it describes as a mission planned for next year that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit to test systems for future lunar landings. NASA also plans to discuss progress toward its stated objective of returning American astronauts to the Moon by 2028.

The agency said the briefing will be streamed online. Media seeking to attend in person must apply by noon Oct. 16, while journalists wishing to ask questions remotely must request dial-in information from the Kennedy Space Center newsroom at least an hour before the event.

The announcement outlines NASA’s planned briefing and its stated mission objectives; it does not provide additional details about the schedule or implementation of the missions.
