The NHL and Fanatics have introduced Hometown Remix, a league-wide program of special-edition jerseys, apparel and headwear intended to reflect the local culture and identity of all 32 NHL teams. The announcement was made Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, according to the source report.

The clubs and Fanatics spent two years developing the designs, the NHL said. Fanatics became the league’s official on-ice uniform and authentic outfitter ahead of the 2024-25 season. The league described Hometown Remix as its first program of this kind covering every team under that partnership.

Florida, Chicago and San Jose were set to be the first teams to wear their new uniforms, with debuts scheduled for Monday night. The report said each club would use its Hometown Remix uniform several times over the remainder of the season.

The designs were developed from scratch, with the league and Fanatics seeking to incorporate local landmarks, visual motifs and cultural references. The Chicago Blackhawks’ jersey has a bright green base, the team’s current logo and gold shoulder patches. Four recessed six-pointed stars appear on each sleeve, referencing the Chicago city flag, according to the report.

Florida’s design draws on the look of a beach-themed graphic T-shirt and features a revised version of a former Panthers shoulder-patch logo as its front crest. The Winnipeg Jets’ jersey includes an aurora borealis scene along the hem. Boston’s design uses brown, a color the report said the Bruins had not used for a jersey in more than a century.

Brian Jennings, the NHL’s senior executive vice president and chief partnership and club strategy officer, said in a league press release that the sweaters build on the tradition and emotional significance associated with NHL uniforms. He said the designs were developed with the clubs to express local identity and represent the cities and fans connected to each team.

Dom Fillion, Fanatics’ vice president of creative design, called the project the company’s most exciting initiative with the NHL since the partnership began in 2024. In a press release, he credited collaboration with each club and said the aim was to make the designs feel personal and grounded in the history and culture of each market.

Fanatics has also produced special-edition uniforms for NHL events, including the 4 Nations Face-Off, Winter Classic, Stadium Series and Heritage Classic, as well as anniversary and centennial jerseys for teams. The source report also noted that the company was involved in uniforms for the upcoming 2027 All-Star festivities.
