A Fox News opinion piece published Oct. 13, 2026, said some Taylor Swift fans criticized Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce over a claim that he liked an Instagram post featuring comedian Shane Gillis’ Saturday Night Live monologue.
The article said the alleged like was not visible when its writer checked the post. It offered two possibilities—that Kelce removed the like or that the claim was false—but provided no independent evidence establishing whether he had interacted with the post.
Gillis’ monologue included jokes about men at the gym and women’s workout clothing. The Fox piece said reactions to the monologue and the claim about Kelce spread across social media platforms, including Threads, TikTok and Reddit. It quoted two comments criticizing him, but did not provide a broader measure of the response.
The source characterized the online reaction in strongly opinionated terms. Its reporting does not confirm that Kelce liked the post or that online criticism prompted any action by him. The episode should therefore be understood as an unverified social-media claim described in an opinion piece, not as a confirmed action by Kelce.
