The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced last week that about 2,140 ONTHEWEI-branded baby bath seats are being recalled because they can tip over during use, creating a risk of serious injury or drowning.

The seats were sold through Amazon in April for approximately $40 to $50. They came in gray, pink, blue and mist green, and have detachable restraint arms and suction cups underneath. The affected products can be identified by model number MY002 and a manufacturing date of Jan. 10, 2026, printed on a label on the back.

No injuries or deaths connected to the recalled seats have been reported, according to the information provided in the recall notice. Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately and contact ONTHEWEI to request a full refund.

The recall instructions say customers will be asked to mark the front of the seat “RECALLED,” remove the backrest and arm restraints, cut the three suction cups, and send the company a photo showing the marked product after it has been dismantled.

ONTHEWEI and Amazon had not immediately responded to requests for comment, according to Fox Business. The announcement concerns a product-safety recall and does not indicate that any injuries have occurred.
