A 27-year-old woman from Towanda, Pennsylvania, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide after her husband and young son were found dead at a Great Wolf Lodge resort in Scotrun on Oct. 12, according to a criminal complaint cited by Fox News.

Pocono Township police said they were called to the room at about 3:13 p.m. after the woman requested help. Officers encountered her with injuries and found her husband, Charles Harrison, and their 3-year-old son dead inside, the complaint states. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators reported finding two knives in the bathroom and medication bottles in the room. Lodge security information cited in the complaint indicated the family had been staying at the resort since Sept. 21. Authorities said surveillance footage showed the three entering the room on Sunday evening and the couple later going to the arcade before returning.

Monroe County District Attorney Michael Mancuso said investigators are continuing to collect evidence. He described the scene as a complex double homicide investigation and stressed that the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Police characterized the deaths as an isolated domestic tragedy and said there was no threat to the community. The allegations remain subject to the ongoing investigation and court process.
