Sam’s Club announced Oct. 15, 2026, that it is expanding its Thanksgiving meal offering while keeping the stated cost below $10 per person. The Walmart-owned membership retailer said the 2026 spread is designed for 16 people and contains 11 offerings, compared with nine in last year’s version. The company said the per-person price has not changed.

The meal will be available starting Oct. 28 at Sam’s Club locations and online. Customers may buy the full package or tailor their order by adding or removing individual items, according to the company.

The announced lineup includes hickory-smoked turkey, boneless carver ham, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and turkey gravy. It also features green beans with dried cranberries and almonds, macaroni and cheese, sweet corn with garlic butter, cranberry crunch salad, yeast rolls, a charcuterie tray and two 12-inch pumpkin pies. Sam’s Club said the package is planned to feed 16 people.

The retailer said the meal was developed over roughly 12 months, with more than 20 employees involved and member feedback used in shaping the final selection. It estimates that the food can be prepared in about two hours in an average home kitchen equipped with one oven and two racks.

Sam’s Club cautioned that the final amount customers pay may differ because some components are priced by weight. Its under-$10-per-person figure is therefore a stated price point for the offering, not a guarantee that every customized order or purchase will have the same total.

The announcement comes ahead of the Thanksgiving season as food costs remain higher than a year earlier. The source cites the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ September consumer price index, reporting that overall food prices were up 2.5% from September 2025. Within that measure, food purchased for home consumption was down 0.1% from the previous month but up 1.8% over the year. Restaurant and other food-away-from-home prices rose 0.2% for the month and 3.5% year over year.

The reported inflation figures cover different categories and time comparisons: the monthly changes describe movement from the preceding month, while the annual rates compare prices with the same month a year earlier. Sam’s Club’s announcement describes the meal’s price per person as unchanged from last year; it does not specify how each individual item’s price was set or how customized purchases will affect a member’s bill.
