Walmart and Wing plan to bring their drone delivery service to the Seattle and Denver metro areas next year, according to an announcement reported by Fox Business on Oct. 7, 2026.

The planned additions are part of the companies’ effort to expand delivery from more than 270 Walmart stores. Wing said the service is already available to more than 3 million customers in markets that include Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Houston and Orlando.

Wing Chief Business Officer Heather Rivera said in a company statement that the expansion reflects growing adoption of drone delivery. Walmart executive Greg Cathey described the service as a way to deliver everyday products from nearby stores to customers’ homes.

Wing says its drones can travel up to 60 mph and carry packages weighing as much as five pounds. Customers can order a range of Walmart products, including groceries, electronics and over-the-counter medications, the report said.

The expansion comes amid other retail drone-delivery efforts. Fox Business reported that Lowe’s announced a pilot with Wing in North Carolina on Sept. 24, while Amazon announced plans in August to expand its Prime Air network to nearly 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026.

The Seattle and Denver launches are planned for next year; the source does not give specific launch dates.
