Fox News Media announced plans for expanded coverage of the 2026 midterm elections across its television, digital, audio and podcast platforms. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the network’s coverage is set to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
Fox News Channel anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum are scheduled to co-anchor the broadcast, branded “Democracy 26.” A broad group of network hosts and contributors is expected to appear throughout the night, including Dana Perino, Brit Hume, Bill Hemmer, Sandra Smith, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, Harris Faulkner and Jessica Tarlov.
The programming is expected to report race calls in House, Senate and gubernatorial contests, along with Fox News Decision Desk projections for the balance of power in both chambers of Congress. The source describes Democrats as seeking to regain House and Senate majorities from Republicans, who it says have held both chambers since the 2024 election.
Fox Business Network plans to simulcast the election coverage from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Fox News Channel also expects to air an early edition of “Fox & Friends First” at 4 a.m. on Nov. 4.
The network said it will use augmented-reality elements and data visualizations to explain results as they are counted. Planned graphics include comparisons of county voting patterns with previous elections and displays tracking congressional control and individual races. Fox News said its New York-based coverage will receive contributions from senior White House correspondents Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy, as well as White House correspondent Aishah Hasnie, reporting from Washington. More than 20 correspondents from Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network are also slated to report from around the country.
A separate live program from the hosts of the “Ruthless” podcast—Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan, John Ashbrook and Shashank Tripathi, who is also known as “Comfortably Smug”—is scheduled to stream from Washington from 8 to 11 p.m. Eastern on Fox News Digital and Fox Nation.
The network’s voter outreach is set to begin before Election Day. “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy plans to visit diners in five states from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30. Stops listed by Fox News are in Burton, Ohio; Romeo, Michigan; Roseville, Minnesota; Dallas; and Hiram, Georgia. “Fox & Friends First” co-host Todd Piro is scheduled to continue the tour on Oct. 31 in Scarborough, Maine. “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-hosts Charles Hurt and Griff Jenkins are set to make the final diner appearance on Election Day morning.
Fox News Digital plans to offer a live blog and its Power Rankings, which the company says will provide updates as polls close and results come in. The Fox News app is also slated to add a “Midterms 2026” tab with an interactive county map, as well as an “Election HQ” feature. According to the announcement, Election HQ will include an AI chatbot that answers questions about races and results using Fox News reporting. Signed-in users will also be able to participate in “The Room,” a live discussion feature.
Audio coverage is planned through Fox News Radio affiliates and the Fox News app. Jared Halpern and Jessica Rosenthal are scheduled to host live programming beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern on election night, with analysis and reports from correspondents. A one-hour results program is planned for 8 a.m. the next morning. Ahead of the election, “Fox News Headlines 24/7” is expected to carry updates on midterm and gubernatorial contests every 15 minutes, while “The Fox News Rundown” is set to run a five-part series from Oct. 26 to 30. Special podcast episodes and a “Democracy ’26” landing page are also part of the announced plans.
