Two Republican-aligned political groups are redirecting planned spending from House districts held by Reps. Tom Kean of New Jersey and Marianette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, according to sources cited by Fox News Digital.

MAGA Inc., a super PAC affiliated with President Donald Trump, is shifting its planned investments for the rest of the midterm election cycle, a source familiar with the plans told the outlet. The Congressional Leadership Fund, aligned with House GOP leadership, is also moving money out of the districts, according to a separate source.

The groups are redirecting funds to other House contests. The report said polling concerns about the two incumbents’ reelection prospects prompted the changes. It also cited Fox News Power Rankings that gave Democrats an edge in 219 House seats, Republicans 198, with 19 seats unresolved.

Kean, a Republican, represents New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. He won reelection in 2024 by just over five percentage points, the report said. His Democratic challenger is Rebecca Bennett. A source close to Kean’s campaign told Fox News Digital that the race was fully funded for the final stretch and said the campaign and the House GOP campaign arm had reservations about broadcast advertising.

Miller-Meeks, an Iowa Republican, is seeking a fourth term in the state’s 1st District against Democrat Christina Bohannan. Miller-Meeks won their 2022 contest by about 20,000 votes and their 2024 race by roughly 800, according to the report. Her initial 2020 victory was decided by six votes.

The report, citing The New York Times, said CLF’s broader funding shifts include directing resources toward races involving Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Monica De La Cruz of Texas. It also said CLF is pulling money from Michigan’s 8th and Ohio’s 1st districts, where Republicans are seeking to defeat Democratic incumbents.

The spending changes are a campaign strategy decision, not a change in the candidates’ official status or election results.
